7 Temporary 3 hours ago Full Job Description JOB SUMMARY Writes curriculum aligned to assessments and standards, that focus on embedding strategies and options for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Differentiated Instruction (DI) into curricular documents.
Develops resources and activities that integrate into our Learning Management System.
Additional Work Days/Hours Based on the assignment, the following additional work days and/or hours may be required as needed:
Ability to work flexible schedules ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES o Collaborates and communicates well with others.
o Possesses strong knowledge of UDL and DI to address the needs of all learners.
o Understands the various types of AACPS assessments.
o Demonstrates the ability to write engaging and meaningful lessons aligned to standards and assessment experiences.
o Possesses strong understanding of content standards and learning progressions.
o Demonstrates the ability to integrate technology into lesson activities.
o Possesses knowledge in current trends, research and methodology in instructional techniques, technology, culturally responsive teaching, problem solving and interdisciplinary connections.
o Works effectively with a content team or independently, depending on the scope of work.
o Adheres to timelines.
o Understands copyright and adheres to AACPS copyright guidance when writing curriculum.
o Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

Education Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required.
Experience Three (3) years relevant successful teaching experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics Knowledge of and proficiency in developing instructional strategies, with a focus on UDL and DI.
Intermediate/Mid-Level Ability to work effectively with a team.
Intermediate/Mid-Level Ability to speak and write effectively.
Intermediate/Mid-Level Works effectively with a content team or independently, depending on the scope of the work.
Intermediate/Mid-Level Adheres to timelines.
Intermediate/Mid-Level Ability to employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to the needs of diverse learners.
Intermediate/Mid-Level Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
Intermediate/Mid-Level Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.
g.
Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).
Intermediate/Mid-Level Licenses and Certifications Employee must retain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment.
Hold or be eligible for Educator Certification:
Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) issued by Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) preferred.
